Romance may start in the heart, but restorative sleep begins with the spine.

Side Sleeping: Promotes spinal alignment and alleviates pressure on the spine when done correctly.

Place one pillow under your head and one pillow between the knees to keep the hips aligned and reduce lower back strain.

Align your body in a 120° "zig zag" with knees bent not too much or too little.

Roll shoulders back so they are stacked.

Ensure hips are aligned and stacked.

Back Sleeping: Distributes weight evenly and maintains a neutral spine position, minimizing strain on the neck and back.

Place one pillow under your head and one small pillow under the knees to maintain the spine's natural curve.

Rest your arms at your sides or on your stomach, avoiding overhead positions.

Stomach Sleeping: Can strain the spine and lead to discomfort. Not an optimal sleeping position, however adjustments can be made to reduce stress on the back and neck.

If you have difficulty transitioning to a different sleep position, adjust to 3/4 stomach sleeping.

Put pillows under your head, under one side of your chest, and under one side of your hips.

A large body pillow can also be used for this.

Choosing the Right Pillow for Your Neck

Your pillow should support your neck's curve while keeping your head level and aligned with your spine.

Side Sleeping: Use a firm, high-loft pillow to fill the space between the neck and shoulder.

Back Sleeping: Use a medium-loft pillow that supports the natural curve of the neck.

Stomach Sleeping: Use a thin pillow to prevent excessive neck strain.
