Movement Medicine in Action: A Real Story
A client came to us with back pain. We listened to his concerns and helped him design a plan around his daily life.
His personalized Movement Medicine program included:
• Morning spine stretches customized to his areas of tightness

• Adjustments to his driving position and workstation setup
• Walking as part of his routine - after meals and during some of his business calls
• Gym exercises focused on stability and mobility, specific to open water swimming

• At-home physical therapy exercises for his core

In this case, we checked in every two weeks to review his pain and adapt his program. The approach borrows from coaching: you do the work, and we are here to guide and encourage you.
We also recommended a continuous glucose monitor. With his physician’s approval, we included general nutrition principles as part of his program. Our aim was to support good nutrition during recovery, not to provide nutritional counseling.
We also bring focused breathing into movement, with attention to the connection between mind and body.

Physical therapy is both a science and an art. What makes Flow different is how we put the two together: an evidence-based yet personalized plan.
Movement Medicine recognizes that your individual potential is constantly changing and requires adaptation. Just as you bring precision and attention to detail to your professional life, your body deserves care that evolves with the same thoughtfulness. High-performing individuals understand that maintaining function requires ongoing attention, not just when problems arise, but as a foundation for continued success. We develop long-term relationships with our clients.
Flow is a small, specialized practice. We use hands-on care and build programs around the individual. You go home with clear instructions, photos or videos of your program, and useful resources and links. We support you through rehabilitation and as you move into fitness and everyday life.
