A Guide to Proper Standing Posture

  1. Feet are parallel - standing square

  2. Draw up your pelvic floor - pelvic bowl in neutral (see below)

  3. Engage your abdominals -  “zip up your internal zipper”

  4. Stack your ribs over your pelvis - ribs not flared out or downward

  5. Shoulders relaxed slightly down and back

  6. Eyes are straight forward 

  7. Slightly draw crown upward - like a string is going up through the top of your head
